If you thought Rajouri Garden is only a spot for pocket-friendly shopping, Raag by Miss Nora is here to prove you quite wrong. The comfort of sitting with your family for a Mughalai meal after a long shopping Sunday is quite unmatched. The pan-Indian kitchen with rich interiors at R Cube Monad Mall in Rajouri Garden allows you to experience just that.
Star Dish
Believe it or not, ever since I received an invite to dine at Raag, I’d been looking forward to trying their dahi kebab. Amidst constantly experimenting with different cuisines, I had almost forgotten what a classic, well-made dahi kebab tasted like. At Raag, the chenna dahi kebab—crafted from Greek yoghurt, filled with ricotta cheese, and topped with a single almond—brought that memory back.
Served as a platter of four, the ghee-glazed kebabs were smooth in texture, mildly sweet, with the almond feeling just a little out of place. While the kebab was great on its own, pairing it with spiced onions and coriander chutney elevated the flavour. The onions added a satisfying crunch to the overall experience.
Although one serving was enough to satisfy my craving, I couldn’t resist going back for seconds.
What’s More?
The menu at Raag is extensive, offering chaat and shorba, kebabs, and a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian mains. As a vegetarian, it can sometimes be impossible to escape paneer. Succumbing to that familiar comfort, I ordered their Saraiki paneer tikka. What stood out was how the paneer loaf was sliced in the middle, allowing the masalas and smoky flavours to seep through. I enjoyed every bite, although it was too oily for my preference.
A great way to navigate the menu at a new restaurant is to head straight to the signature offerings. As a creature of habit, I did just that and picked the first item on the list—the Kashmiri kaladi bharwan gucchi. Shaped like kebabs and served in a batch of five, all I could taste, unfortunately, was salt.
Disappointed, I looked over at my friend, who had chosen the second dish on the list—kosha mangsho. I was told the mutton was beautifully cooked, with perfectly balanced spices. It was served with roomali rotis and a selection of chutneys.
After taking a few risks with my starters, I played it safe for the mains. One of the servers recommended their paneer khatta pyaaz, a popular choice. I paired it with dal makhani and garlic naan. While the meal was nothing that you cannot enjoy elsewhere, it made for a decent main course.
Drinks Menu
Whether you’re in the mood for a well-crafted cocktail, a refreshing cooler to balance the spices, or a shake in place of dessert, the beverage menu at Raag has something for everyone.
Since I had a long drive ahead, I opted for the lychee and grapefruit lemonade from the teetotaller section. It looked gorgeous and tasted just as good. From their “signature cocktail” section, try the mango lassi or the Valley of Kashmir cocktail.
For me, no meal is complete without dessert. The kesari phirni, draped in chaandi ka varaq, was luscious, thick, and smooth. They also offer a variety of ice cream flavours, including nolen gur, jamun, and anjeer. My friend recommended the anjeer.
Vibe Check
The 55-seater Raag resembles the dining hall of a small palace. With gold interiors, multi-layered chandeliers, bottle-green upholstery, a semi-private section framed by intricate jaalis, and an elegant off-white fabric draped across the ceiling, the space evokes a Mughal-era charm.

I chose a table next to a sitar, a standout element that complemented the restaurant’s name. Enclosed in glass, the sitar looked antique and held my gaze for a long while.
The regal interiors were set off by the unusually loud music—something that may not sit well if you’re looking for a relaxing meal with your family.
